OUR STORY
Iglesia Monte Vista nació del deseo de ser una iglesia en la comunidad para la comunidad. La intencionalidad de ser una iglesia bilingüe para alcanzar interculturales y multigeneracionales.
Somos un grupo pequeño que se reúne en un hogar donde compartimos comidas, compartimos nuestras experiencias y nos dedicamos a la vida y las enseñanzas de Jesús con el deseo de ver a nuestra comunidad transformada.
Iglesia Monte Vista was born out of a desire to be a church in the community for the community. The intentionality of being a bilingual church to is to reach cross-cultural and multigenerational community.
We are a small group meeting together in a home where we share meals to, share our heats and devote ourselves to the life and teachings of Jesus with the desire to see our community transformed.

OUR FAMILY
Jesús dijo que "El amor que tengan unos por otros será la prueba ante el mundo de que son mis discípulos." (Juan 13:35). También oró para que sus discípulos fueran tan "unidos" para que el mundo crea que el Padre envió a Jesús (Juan 17: 20-23).

Como familia de la iglesia, nos comprometemos a compartir la vida juntos, principalmente reuniéndonos en grupos pequeños en hogares. Queremos ser una comunidad de creyentes que somos conocidos por el amor que tenemos los unos por los otros. Jesús afirmó que nuestra unidad haría que otros creyeran en él. La meta no es solo llevarnos bien, sino que queremos amar unos a los otros como Cristo nos amó y estar unidos en la medida en que el Padre es uno con el Hijo.
Jesus said that "all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35). He also prayed that his disciples would be so "perfectly one" that the world may believe that the Father sent Jesus (John 17:20-23).
As a church family we are committed to share life together primarily gathering in small groups in homes. We want to be a community of believers that is known for the love that we have for one another. Jesus claimed that our unity would cause others to believe in Him. We don't just wat to get along but we want to love each other the way Christ loved us, and to be united to the extent that the Father is one with the Son.

HOME GROUPS
En estas reuniones, compartimos una comida, adoramos juntos, leemos las Escrituras, oramos unos por otros y crecemos en la intimidad como una comunidad de seguidores de Jesús. La comunidad y el compañerismo son importantes para nosotros y creemos que, en grupos pequeños, se brinda la capacidad de vivir juntos, llevar las cargas de los demás, animarnos y responsabilizarnos mutuamente.

Para ayudarnos a amarnos de verdad, nos hemos comprometido a tener grupos de 10 a 20 personas reunidas en un hogar. Para nosotros, queremos que todos opten por compartir la vida y, por lo tanto, el contexto principal de los grupos es una familia espiritual de 10 a 20 personas.

Pablo dijo que “a cada uno se les da la manifestación del Espíritu para el bien común” (1 Corintios 12: 7). Él continúa enumerando los diversos dones y explica cómo estos dones fueron dados a los creyentes por el bien del cuerpo (la Iglesia). Creemos que en el entorno de grupos pequeños podemos discipular y caminar con las personas para descubrir cuáles son sus dones y ponerlos en práctica. Creemos que cada creyente es necesario y es importante para la vida de la iglesia. Hemos estructurado intencionalmente un espacio para que todos los miembros del cuerpo puedan contribuir en las reuniones y en la vida cotidiana.
In these gatherings, we share a meal, worship together, read scripture, pray for one another, and grow in intimacy as a community of Jesus followers. Community and fellowship is important for us and we believe that small groups provide the ability to live life together, carry each others burdens, encourage each other and keep each other accountable. ​

In order to help us truly love each other, we’ve committed to having groups of 10-20 people meeting in a home. For us, we want to everyone to opt into sharing life, and therefore the primary context of small groups is a spiritual family of 10-20 people.

Paul said “to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good” (1 Cor 12:7). He goes on in listing the various gifts and explains how these gifts were given to believers for the sake of the body (church). We believe that in the small group setting we can disciple and walk with people to find out what their gifts are and to put them into practice. We believe that every believer is needed and is important for the life of the church. We have intentionally structured things to create space for everyone in the body to contribute in the gatherings and in everyday life.
